DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW

Global Information Systems & Communications (GISC) is an IS/IT organization to contribute to Sony's business by managing business applications, IT infrastructure, and digital transformation activities.

POSITION SUMMARY

Sony Corporation of America (SCA) is seekin g for an experienced Manager , SAP BW & BPC . This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions using SAP Business Warehouse (BW) and Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) tools. The Manager , SAP BW & BPC works closely with business users and stakeholders to understand their requirements, provide insights, and deliver solutions that meet their needs. This role also ensures the quality, performance, and security of the data and reports in the SAP BW & BPC environment.

This role is a great opportunity to learn about the financial planning & reporting in the movie making business and the analytics and data science beyond it. Analysis will involve excel modelling and data visualizations tools.

This role operates at the intersection of advanced analytics, business intelligence and data systems and as such, the candidate must have a passion for data and analytics. Experience diving into analytical problems and synthesizing disparate data sources is required .

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create BW4 Artifacts - Composite Providers, ADSO's, transformations, DTP's etc.
  • Work with new Hybrid modelling approaches which lean heavily towards a virtualized data warehouse and mixing SQL (Graphical) based data models from native HANA.
  • Good understanding of mixed model scenarios ( e.g., BW master data referring to S/4 master using HANA views).
  • Create and e nhanc e native HANA objects - Calculation views, Table functions, Stored Procedures, AMDP's etc.
  • Ability to design, prepare FS, TS independently and working experience in Analysis office (AO)
  • Evaluating and performing BW on HANA upgrade and the support required for its environment
  • Design, develop, and maintain SAP BW & BPC models, queries, reports, and dashboards using best practices and standards
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications for SAP BW & BPC solutions
  • Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from various sources into SAP BW & BPC using SAP Data Services, SAP HANA, or other tools
  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and testing to ensure data accuracy and integrity
  • Provide end-user support and training on SAP BW & BPC tools and processes
  • Monitor and troubleshoot SAP BW & BPC issues and performance
  • Document and maintain SAP BW & BPC processes and procedures
  • Collaborate with other SAP teams and IT departments to ensure alignment and integration of SAP BW & BPC solutions with other systems and platforms
  • Keep abreast of the latest trends and developments in SAP BW & BPC and related technologies


QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION

Your qualifications and experience should include:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or relevant fields
  • SAP BW/4 HANA & SAC C ertification
  • 7 + Years of experience in Consulting and Technical roles pertaining to BW/4HANA, SAP BPC Embedded and SAC
  • Minimum of 3 full cycle implementations and a track record of successfully implementing production of analytics projects in challenging environments.
  • 5+ hands-on expertise in using the BW on HANA user interfaces that have been redesigned so that an effective support and administration can be done on modelling data models, data flows and query building
  • Experience on planning with Aggregation Levels, Planning filters, Planning functions, Planning sequence, Custom Planning function types, AO input sheets, BPFs etc. and Data Lock Management, Data slices, Characteristic Relationships etc. is necessary for day-to-day operations
  • Key responsibilities for this job would require thorough/Good knowledge of S/4 Extraction, Data Modelling, BW-ABAP, BEx Queries and Analysis office Workbooks (input sheets) experience.
  • Should have proven expertise as a Technical Architect for minimum duration of 1 to 2 years.
  • Capable of understanding business requirements functionally and create a technical implementation proposal.
  • Experience in Media domain and its processes ( e.g. Amortization) is a plus

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $130,000. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for . The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
