Job Description

The Heavy Equipment Operator works with all shops to provide special assistance requiring various types of mechanical equipment.

COMPENSATION: The hourly rate of pay for this position is $29.32. This is Aramark's good faith and reasonable estimate of the rate of compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Parking lot sweeping utilizing power equipment.
  2. Snow removal and sanding of roads.
  3. Truck driving and trailer hauling.
  4. Cut limbs and trees utilizing chain saw.
  5. Digs trenches, moves trees and other operations requiring relocation of large masses using backhoe and front loader.
  6. Heavy lifting, moving, relocating various types of equipment and furniture.
  7. Steam cleaning of walkways, equipment, tents, canvas, etc.
  8. Road patching utilizing compactor and/or front loader.
  9. Assistance with equipment repairs.
  10. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  1. Able to handle strenuous work assignments including lifting and carrying heavy objects (up to 100 pounds throughout shift).
  2. Ability to work under various conditions, including weather extremes from inclement to hot temperatures.
  3. Must have ability to work with little or no supervision and communicate progress and problems to management.
  4. Able to operate various power tools and equipment.
  5. Able to operate a variety of heavy equipment without assistance.
  6. Must have Class A license.
  7. Must operate equipment within approved safety program practices.

Requires the ability to bend, stretch, crouch, kneel, lift, carry, reach, sit and stand throughout shift.
