POSITION SUMMARY: The Refurbishment Project Manager is responsible for planning, organizing and implementing all refurbishment projects onboard their assigned vessels. This includes refurbishment projects executed in operation and during docking periods which are either expensed or capitalized. Also responsible for ensuring that all projects are in compliance with the requirements of regulatory agencies such as DNV, IMO, SOLAS, USPH, US Coast Guard, ISO, ADA and others as applicable. The Refurbishment Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that all projects meet the technical requirements of the ships technical systems such as HVAC, electrical, mechanical, etc in coordination with the Marine Ship Managers and Officers onboard the vessels. The Refurbishment Project Manager must possess strong project management, communication, financial and technical skills to be able to support the projects assigned from inception to final acceptance. The Refurbishment Project Manager is to provide support to the Maintenance Management team for ongoing refurbishment on their assigned vessels, this requires close and constant interaction with the Hotel and Marine Departments both shipboard and shore side.
