Location: Monfalcone Position Summary: Review technical documentation and conducts inspections to ensure safe and efficient operation of all deck and navigation systems. Monitors and establishes compliance with fleet plan objectives and SQM, creating follow-up reports for the New Building design and construction process. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Deck design related items • Bridge design related items • Coating specification related items • Plan approval of drawings belonging to Deck discipline • Attendance of daily inspections (coating, safety, outfitting) at Yards facilities, on drydock and on board • Participation to factory acceptance test (FAT). • Respinsible of approval process for quay/sea trial procedures • Participation to quay/sea trials and validation of test results • Risk management and quality assurance processes during design and building phases • Follows and applies future development in marine technology and industrial business • Establishment of reports on each responsibility area Qualifications: Deck officer at sea Key Skills: • Proficiency in Excel, MS Word, MS Project or equivalent, PowerPoint, • Capability to use design programs like Autocad etc. • Good skills to analyze and develop specifications, drawings, layouts and other technical documentation. • Understanding of shipbuilding project and programming processes. • Deep knowledge of SOLAS, IMO, classification rules and marine standards. • Fluency in English, other languages as advantage. • Excellent teamwork skills. • Communication and co-operation in multicultural working environment #LI-SL2 |
