Our Renton Hot Smoke facility is hiring for a Sample Coordinator! This position packs and pulls products to send to customers as identified by sample order requests. Pull, packs, and ships product for various food shows. Supports production daily by driving forklift to feed production line and/or unload deliveries. Pay range starting from $20.00 - $22.00 per hour, depending on experience. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Properly picks and packs samples accurately by customer standards and specifications of all product which includes raw and ready-to-eat. Handles and prepares product for shipping following all food safety and HAACP regulations keeping raw product separate from cooked and ready-to-eat. Measures, weighs, and counts, product for packaging. Examines and inspects boxes, product, and appropriate coolant to ensure packing specifications are met and product can withstand shipment without temperature fluctuation. Grades, inspects product eliminating defective product according to customer specifications. Completes appropriate documentation to process samples. Properly marks each box with customer name, weights, and appropriate handling instructions for each box. Maintains a clean and sanitary work area to meet USDC standards. Maintain and reconcile inventory of sample shelf Follows all company safety policies and procedures. Move product in and out of the freezer to feed production line Receive inbound packaging or ingredient shipments Responds to change productively and handles other duties as required. REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or equivalent experience. Minimum of six (6) months production experience in seafood or food processing industry. Sit Down Fork lift/Power Equipment experience preferred Requires a self-starter with good oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Must be able to work independently and as a team, and follow written and oral directions. Must possess basic computer skills and able to learn Net Yield. Must have knowledge of seafood and inventory control. Must possess a good safety record, and have knowledge of manual pallet jack, ride on pallet jack, and sit down forklift operations.
