  • This job is a member of the Information Technology Team within the Information Technology Division.
  • Responsible for providing technical support for Sabre PSS (RES) core problems and questions.

What you'll do

  • Report, monitor, prioritize, and escalate reported issues related to Sabre PSS
  • Conduct research on reported problems related to Amadeus, Travelport, and other Global Distribution Systems
  • Interacts with teams within the company to identify and correct Sabre problems
  • Act as Agent Sine Security for Sabre PSS.  Assigns keywords, duty codes, passcodes, and Security Composite Records (SCR)s.
  • Assists with processing schedule changes and pseudo flight requests in Sabre (PSS).
  • Monitor and respond to emails sent to a team resource mailbox
  • Maintains system settings and control tables within Sabre PSS.
  • Provides guidance and collaborate with Sabre help desk personnel
  • Some domestic and international travel required
     

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
  • Native Sabre subject matter expert
  • Previous airline experience required
  • Team focused with strong problem solving skills and analytical thinking abilities to resolve complex and specialized issues
  • Proactive with high energy and positive attitude
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and reprioritize quickly and effectively

 

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Airline industry experience, particularly in Flight operations and administration

 

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • In-depth knowledge of other reservation systems (i.e. Amadeus, Apollo, Worldspan, Galileo, etc…)
  • Strong understanding of AA Sabre EPRs, keywords duty codes and SCRs
  • Basic understanding of the IT project lifecycle at American Airlines
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks and issues simultaneously
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to explain technical concepts and adjust messaging based on the audience, including non-technical groups
