JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for supervising the day to day operation of the beach. Planning and organizing the work of the server within the department while ensuring the guests satisfaction.

To assist in directing, controlling and co-ordinating all outlet activities. Ensuring the outlet meets its financial and guest satisfaction objectives.

To ensure we have a crisp, tidy, great looking and safe environment for our guests and staff

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION
  • Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • High school graduates.
  • Computer literate beneficial


EXPERIENCE
  • Prior hospitality experience preferred.


CERTIFICATE
  • Hospitality or other certificates preferred.
  • First aid training preferred.
  • Life guard certificate beneficial


JOB FUNCTIONS:

The ability to develop and maintain an appointed environment, with superior staff, dedicated to an attentive, distinctive experience for all dining periods. Train, supervise and coach all outlet staff. Control standards, performance, employees' conduct, dress code, appearance, sanitation, etc., according to established policies and standard. Maintain a friendly yet unobtrusive manner with all guests. Possess a management ability that ensures a successful handling of the outlets Control reservations and seating of the outlet with regards to service standards. Ensure the correct and consistent service techniques for various meal periods will be demonstrated by all staff members. Anticipate, in advance, all materials and supplies and assure their availability. Control usage of all food and beverage items and appropriate usage of equipment, tools and service equipment. Observe daily conditions of all physical facilities and equipment in the outlets; makes recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed. Ensure a safe working environment for all employees within the outlet. Understand all food and beverage items offered, including ingredients, methods of preparation and proper service. Also, an expert knowledge of beverages Attend and participate in all required meetings. Promote teamwork and foster a harmonious working climate. Promote good public relations and handle complaints or concerns of guests. Handle all inventories directly involved with the operation of the outlet. Utilize the computer system in ringing, printing and closing checks as well as shift reports. Properly handle and report employee and guest accidents. Respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation. Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff. Continually be aware of departmental needs as they relate to production and staffing. Formulate and recommend changes to improve employees' performance and teamwork. Keep employees informed about hotel policies and changes. Keep informed of special events such as Ramadan, Eid, etc. Knowledge of P.O.S. system of hotel Maintain current prices and approved purveyors listed based on quality, service and cost of all related food and beverage items for requisitioning purposes, store inventories, cost control procedures and forecasts. Properly handle and take care of the hotel/resort properties

PHYSICAL DEMANDS ANALYSIS

Positions: * Continuous standing and walking

* Negotiating sandy floor, rocky/coral floor and steps from one moment to the next

* Carrying with one elbow in static flexion to hold tray

* One arm in repetitive midline crossing and flexion/extension to serve guests

* Lifting from chest height to table top

* Push/pull chairs as needed

* Carry sun umbrellas as needed

* Fine motor coordination is needed for writing guest checks and folding napkins

* Occasional sitting for completion of paperwork.

Forces: Trays weigh 10-15 lbs.

Managers may have to accommodate guest by moving or pushing a chair, table or umbrella to another place

Repetitions: * Standing and walking is continuous for 4-5 hours at a time

* Lifting and carrying 15-lb. tray is occasional

* Negotiating varied floor surfaces is continuous

* Moving chairs, tables, sun umbrellas or recreational equipments are occasional

* Working in the sun or rain (when needed)

* Sitting is occasional

Sensory: * Handling hot fluids (coffee and tea) and items
