DESCRIPTION Amazon is seeking an experienced risk manager and/or compliance professional to support our compliance with Japan's Transparency Act regulations (TA) from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI). The ideal candidate will display strong ownership in leading the TA compliance program and drive innovative ideas to support the successful growth of Amazon Japan's marketplace business. Additionally, to be successful, the ideal candidate will need to be confident in engaging internally (in Japanese and, on occasions, in English) across business, legal, operations, and technical teams to influence Seller outcomes and design/oversee risk-based controls. Please submit your CV in English! Key job responsibilities - Understand Amazon's marketplace business in Japan and regulatory requirements under the Transparency Act. Develop a mature compliance framework with inputs from internal and external stakeholders. - Develop and enhance relationship with stakeholders (seller teams, business development teams, legal and public policy teams, etc) to advocate for and monitor adherence to the Transparency Act requirements. - Monitor existing operations on the marketplace business and perform recurring gap analysis against regulatory expectations, and drive remediation where necessary. - Work with business owners to identify and collate relevant information to respond to requests for information from regulators in a timely manner. - Drive productive discussions with stakeholders, and escalate appropriately, both through verbal and written communication. About the team Selling Partner Servicesの詳細はこちら We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations: Tokyo, 13, JPN BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - Fluent Japanese and English language skills required (written and spoken) - Minimum of 2+ years' experience in Risk Advisory and Compliance Program management - Experience facilitating meetings involving leaderships and educating internal and external stakeholders about the status of compliance - Comfortable managing through ambiguity with strong bias for action - Ability to manage and analyze data - Ability to conduct internal investigations through working with multiple stakeholders PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Background in analyzing Japanese law (preference with direct experience of the Transparency Act) - Strong understanding of regulatory and industry requirements and standards regarding Digital Platforms and e-commerce.
