Job Summary:
Assists the Front Desk Manager with training and supervising guest services operations, including front desk and bell staff on a daily basis.

 

The Details:
Position Type: Seasonal
Season Dates: Late-April through mid- to late-September 2024 (exact dates vary by location)
Pay: $16.45/hr
Schedule: Typical schedule is 45 hours/per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities

  • Assists the Front Desk Manager with training and supervising guest services operations, including front desk and bell staff on a daily basis.
  • Preparing schedules according to hotel business demands and within the structure of budget.
  • Assists with check-in, check-out, responds to guest requests and complaints.
  • Train staff of detailed knowledge about the hotel’s services and hours of operations.
  • Responsible for daily guest room blocking and guest requests are handled.
  • Follow Company and departmental environmental practices, safety practices, and policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Possess background in hospitality or sales management.
  • Possess excellent leaderships skills and ability to supervise and train the staff members. 
  • Must be flexible and adaptable to different changes and have good decision making skills.
  • Knowledge of Opera property management software (PMS).
  • Knowledge of basic math skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent organization and time management skills, goal oriented, and strong interpersonal communication skills and should be able to handle pressure situations.

Physical Requirements include:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
  • Stand for up to eight hours per shift.
  • Requires bending, stretching and reaching throughout a shift.
  • Working safely with required chemicals.
