Job Description

As a n IT /GIS Product Owner II on Weyerhaeuser's Timberlands IT team, you will play a critical role in the delivery of our desktop, w eb, and m obile GIS and non- GIS platforms and applications. You will work with cross - functional business teams to understand their pain points and aspirations . You will partner with the business to lead the direction of existing and new mobile and web application s to create a cohesive experience that empowers users across devices, enhance s efficiency, and contribute s to the ever-evolving digital landscape.

Note: T his is a split role involving ownership of software products for the Timberlands IT Core Services team and ownership of GIS software products for the GIS Services team.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage software solutions as product s , including gathering requirements, working with business partners to estimate r eturn on investment (ROI) for enhancements, provid ing end-user support , creat ing roadmaps , testing solutions , and developing measurable adoption strategies .
  • P artner with business stakeholders to understand workflows and leverage your product management skills to provide a blend of custom and off-the-shelf solutioning that enhance the end users ' experience .
  • Under general guidance and with minimal supervision, perform complex analys i s, problem solving, implementation, testing, and documentation of application solutions.
  • Facilitate cross-functional team s , including business stakeholders, to understand, rank, and prioritize business needs to ensure each product release delivers maximum business value.
  • Develops strong relationships with vendors and helps ensure WY needs are prioritized in vendor-supported solutions.
  • Manage product-related projects within IT PMO guidelines, including project budgets and resource capacity management planning.
  • Own and perform testing activities including building test plans, writing test scripts, and coordinating testing with the business and/or product vendors prior to shipping a release.
  • Lead product Change Board s to maintain alignment of ongoing product investments with business leaders and a multi-year product roadmap.


Collaborate with other IT teams to advance Weyerhaeuser's Connected Forest vision, including GIS , Forest Management, Wood Flow Planning, Transportation, and Contract/Settlement systems.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of four ( 4 ) to six (6) years of progressive, relevant project/product management experience .
  • Minimum of one year of GIS experience/exposure.
  • Experience managing GIS and non- GIS software development projects, including knowledge of both agile/iterative and traditional/waterfall project management principles, and facilitating sprint ceremonies.
  • Experience developing design specifications, evaluating options, contracting, and implementing GIS and non- GIS software solutions.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage a diverse workload and work under time constraints with minimal supervision.
  • Actively work ing to learn new skills to stay current with changing technologies and industry trends and share knowledge proactively with others.
  • Able to apply business knowledge to manage and deliver innovative, value-added improvements to products and services .
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills , skilled in communicating technical topics to non-technical audiences .
  • Excellent collaboration skills in working together with others across all IT segments .


Highly Valued

  • Experience overseeing a team and motivating them to complete their job duties and tasks effectively.
  • Experience configuring iOS and Android devices for delivery of mobile technologies.
  • Experience with the Microsoft Intune Platform and Mobile Application Management .
  • Proficient with the ESRI ArcGIS platform, including ArcGIS Desktop/Pro, Server, Enterprise/Portal, and Field Maps.
  • Experience with the delivery of application on the OutSystems Platform .


Experience with PowerBI , API connectivity, and Structure Query Language (SQL) , and/or Python programming

Working knowledge of ITIL/ITSM principles and practices.

Familiarity with forestry and land title concepts and datasets.

Location

T he work associated with this role will be performed in a hybrid capacity: partial telework, partial in one of our major US offices (Seattle, WA; Atlanta, GA; Springfield, OR, Vancouver, WA; Hot Springs, AR; Madison, GA, Columbia Falls, MT).

Compensation

This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $92,500 - $138,700 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 10% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

Employees may enroll in our company's 401k plan, which includes a paid company match in addition to our annual contribution equal to 5% of your base salary.

Paid Time Off or Vacation

We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with paid vacation for up to 3 weeks to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 hours along with paid parental leave for all full-time employees.
