Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation: • Ensure compliance with Group Finance Manual standards and legal and tax requirements of the companies served (the latter as detailed in the local SLA's) • Supervise daily work, provide guidance. Work is independent and collaborative in nature • Drive for simplification of processes and implement common processes wherever possible • First point of contact for other departments in regard to accounting or service questions • Promote cross-functional collaboration, assuming a coordinative role between department tactics and operational objectives Key Responsibilities: • Manage and lead at least two teams between 3 - 10 people within multiple markets or areas, Or alternatively have at least two P1s (Senior Accountants or Team Leads) as direct reports often within a context of complex markets. Ensures full responsibility for team performance and execution in accordance with defined KPI's and in compliance with SLA • Implements department strategies • Develop and report on KPI`s; implement and monitor appropriate quality controls • Responsible for HR related processes like Performance Reviews, recruiting, talent management and development • Ensure Business Partner (BP) satisfaction and complaints resolution. Active communication and issue resolution with BP in order to optimize their satisfaction with service provided. • Responsible for issue resolution and process or service improvement, partly via addressing the root causes of errors or inefficiencies • Convinces others within and/ or outside the organization to accept modified standards or concepts with common desire to reach agreement • Oversee and assist with preparation of documentation for year end audit • Lead regular reviews with local markets, to ensure strong governance rigor and customer satisfaction. Key Relationships: • Report managers and team colleagues • Colleagues of other function teams within GBS • People of local markets via process areas • Global product owners • Business FDs and leads of other functions via process areas Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Strong responsibility and accountability • Strong customer service mindset • Excellent communication skills • Good knowledge in usage of SAP • Strong knowledge and know-how of AP process • Fluent of English (or Japanese or Korean) in both oral and writing • Basic English in reading and writing (for JP and KR positions) Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications: • University degree or equivalent education required • More than 5 years of accounting or relevant working experience • At least 3 years experience of leading a team beyond 10 members • Project experience is a plus |
