As a Senior Associate Business Analyst for Payments Operations Transformation within the J.P. Morgan Corporate & Investment Bank, you will be responsible for representing Latin America Operations' requirements into several project squads focused on Payments products. You will coordinate and formalize operational requirements derived from projects and new products in partnership with Products, Operations, and Technology teams. You will also be responsible for coordinating testing planning, implementation plans from an Operations' perspective, and keeping stakeholders updated in relation to the project's status and next steps. This role provides an opportunity to work with stakeholders across the Corporate and Investment Banking, leveraging best practices across the industry and other J.P. Morgan business units.

Job responsibilities

  • Represent LATAM Operations' requirements into several project's squads focused on Payments products, specifically Account Services, Liquidity and Real Time Payments
  • Coordinating and formalizing in a didactic way, the Operational Requirements derived from projects and new products in a partnership with Products, Operations, and Technology teams
  • Liaise effectively between lines of business with empathy and understanding to achieve the common and strategic goal as a team Collaboratively contributes to program updates
  • Coordinate testing planning: defining testing scope and UAT completion strategy helping the team achieve the goals
  • Coordinate Implementation plan from Operations' Perspective
  • Maintain stakeholders updated in relation to the project's status and next steps
  • Prepare senior management presentations highlighting progress against milestones, risks, issues, and any barriers requiring escalation.
  • The position will be based in Mexico City Office


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Deep understanding of payments and collections platforms and operational processing systems
  • Extensive familiarity and experience to lead with people, understanding operational requirements, be able to criticize and suggest solutions aiming to optimize the operational process aligned with the business interests.
  • Ability to articulate complex concepts clearly to differing audiences in multiple regions, strong communication skills in English to negotiate internal priorities among the project's stakeholders in Latin America
  • Capability to create documents containing business and functional requirements, creating diagrams of current and future flows from Operation's perspective
  • Strong Time management and organization skills
  • Familiarity with Agile concepts and project management concepts
  • Partner with Product, Operations, and Technology to identify barriers preventing efficient change deliverables


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience in Payments Business required (Account Services, Liquidity and Real Time Payments preferred)
  • Fluent in English, Portuguese is welcome
  • Outstanding ability to communicate effectively and confidently (oral and written)
  • Strong Organization skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Technology, Finance, Business or related areas - required.
  • Project / Agile Methodology Qualification - preferred.
