Join our Team Spa Therapist works directly and actively support the role of the Spa Team. Is very warm and welcoming when assisting guests; smiles and maintains eye contact Utilizes each of the rooms and provides guest with information about the services offered as well as the Hotel in a knowledgeable and colorful way. Establishes good rapport with guests while maintaining appropriate guest-employee relationships Keeps the work area neat, clean and quiet at all times Neatly wears prescribed uniform; demonstrates proper personal hygiene and grooming Follows proper payroll procedures Adheres to SOPs and Attendance policies Is flexible with schedule when business demands change Modifies behavior when performance feedback is provided Communicates in a clear manner; is easily understood; listens attentively; does not interrupt others Responds properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation Utilizes log book, spa software and any scheduling chart Actively works with peers, subordinates, and supervisor to build relationships based on trust and acceptance Performs other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff; respects authority Reports maintenance deficiencies, member concerns, guest comments, glitches, etc. to assistant spa manager Knows amenities, equipment, products, treatments, packages, special current promotions of spa and health club Understands all safety procedures specific to usage of spa and health club equipment and products Prepares treatment areas according to specifications at the end of each treatment or requests help when unable to do so Knows the benefits, indications and contraindications of all spa services, professional and retail products; gets the guest right and can up sell the treatment and/or product tailored to suit guest needs and preferences Offers choices of oils, creams, aromas with benefits described Asks the guest about comfort with the temperature, lights and the music also pressure at least twice during the treatments Escorts the guest to the next destination at the end of the treatment and expresses sincere appreciation.
