The Food & Beverage Cashier is responsible for completing transactions, putting order components together, restocking products, and cleaning the food service space. A friendly attitude and excellent hospitality communication skills are required for this position's success, all while adhering to the pressures of maintaining the accountability of high-volume sales and transactions. You must be organized and efficient and have excellent customer service skills. This job description is intended to be a broad description of duties. You will be expected to carry-out all responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Essential Job Responsibilities: Greet all customers pleasantly and with courtesy and provide guests with simple direction Develop a working knowledge of resort food and beverage operations Reliable attendance on all scheduled workdays Perform additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by F&B Managers or Supervisors at any time Bus tables, vacuum, sweep, and mop floors as necessary Help to unload supplies, shovel snow, clean windows and water fountains, empty trash cans, restock food and beverage product, etc. Restock dishes and other dining supplies Maintain a clean and neat workspace, guest space, and help ensure that the operation runs in a smooth and orderly fashion Keep the food service area clean by wiping down surfaces such as food counters, shelves, walls, doors, tables, and chair-backs Remove dirty dishes by stacking them and returning them to the dish-pit in an organized method Maintain order in the food service area by arranging tables and chairs in a way that allows for easy movement within the establishment Can be trained into light duty food preparation such as assembly of house-made packaged foods to help support business volume needs. Qualifications & Knowledge Must already have or be willing to complete the New Mexico Food Handlers Certification upon hire. Must already have or be willing to complete the New Mexico Alcohol Server Certification upon hire. Experience operating a high-volume point-of-sale register preferred Is self-motivated and capable of working diligently without constant supervision. Ability to stand for 4 to 8 hours. Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings. Work Environment: Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. TSVI is located in a high altitude alpine environment. Position may require travel on uneven, snow packed, or icy terrain and may be exposed to wet, cold and/or humid conditions. This position requires interaction with guests and other staff for much of each day.
