The position of Groundskeeper is responsible for assisting with the general upkeep of Chateau Ste. Michelle grounds, ensuring that the environment provides an overall exceptional guest experience.

Essential Functions:
• Vineyard maintenance
• Planting assistance, and plant health care maintenance, weed control
• Support summer concerts with grounds maintenance and watering
• Pick up debris on grounds
• Maintain cleanliness of ponds
• Mulch, sand, rock, pavestone or flagstone installation
• Watering plants where irrigation is not present
• Painting touch up, minor repair
• Mole control assistance
• Provide public garden tours to guests of the Chateau

Non-Essential Functions:
• Fill in for Maintenance with garbage/recycling as needed.

Working Conditions:
• Mainly working outdoors, in various weather conditions


Physical Requirements:
• Ability to perform assigned duties and responsibilities which may include walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and/or stooping.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to operate a golf cart.

• Ability to take and follow direction
• Horticultural/plant knowledge
• Must be able to do public speaking to small groups
• History of responsible use of alcohol and other appropriate conduct, as well as fitness to be licensed, permitted, and/or certified by state and/or local regulatory bodies.
• High school diploma or equivalent required
