The ideal candidate will be a team player who is excellent at communicating with peers, physicians, patients and who cares about customer service The Surgical Trauma ICU is a 24 bed intensive care unit that has three specialties: Cardiovascular: advanced cardiovascular surgeries except no transplants Neurovascular: advanced neurosurgeries, designated Comprehensive Stroke Center Trauma: designated Level II Trauma Center There is an intensivist program that covers the unit 24/7. The staffing is dependent by acuity, normally 2 patients to 1 nurse. In order to qualify for this the following criteria must be met: Graduate of a NLN (National League of Nursing) or CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) accredited nursing programs. BSN preferred RNs hired within THR after December, 2016, require completion of BSN within 2 years of start date. Current RN license or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing Current AHA BLS & ACLS upon hire One year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program In addition, you must hold a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills and the ability to function in a fast-paced environment and be proficient in Windows applications. **** Shift: 7P - 7A for a total of 36 hours per week; weekends and holidays required Interested?
