The Sahara Hotel was one of the first to open in Las Vegas. It added an African desert oasis theme to the Strip with its plastic camels which are still on display today. The Sahara, being at the far end of the Strip, is low-key and relaxed with cool gardens and a relatively uncrowded casino.
