The Fort Worth Zoo is seeking applications for the position of Associate Veterinarian. The associate veterinarian will report to the Director of Veterinary Services and will be responsible for the execution and continued development of the preventative health program, the diagnosis and medical management of sick animals, conducting clinical studies, contributing to the scientific literature, teaching senior veterinary students, and participating in the Zoo’s conservation programs. The Burnett Animal Health Science Center is a spacious, well-equipped building which includes quarantine and necropsy facilities and a wide variety of diagnostic and surgical equipment.
The Fort Worth Zoo has a collection of approximately 5,000 animals, including aquatic specimens in the on-site aquarium facilities. The Zoo supports progressive scientific programs supported by state-of-the-art medical, nutritional and animal care facilities.
