Cosmetology Apprentice

Upscale salon is in search of a cosmetology apprentice to assist and learn from a senior stylist. Applicant must have a completed and passed state exam and hold a valid cosmetology license or have a valid work permit. This is a full time position, evenings and weekends are a MUST! Dress code is business casual and hair and makeup must be done for every shift.

Job Description:
Senior stylist will be teaching you the craft through one-on-one weekly in salon classes. As well as important aspects of working in a salon such as, how to relate to the clientele, and teach you how to capture-and keep-clients. 

Apprentice Responsibilities:
Assist senior stylist by shampooing, draping and brushing out a client's hair before the cut or style.
Is responsible for blow drying and styling a client's hair when the hairdresser is busy with other clients. 
Prepare Color Treatments; The apprentice mixes the color and applies it.
Helps the stylist in all areas, and should take the initiative and wash color bowls, fold towels and sweep the stylist's station, for example.
