Position Overview and Responsibilities:

 

Responsible for the effective coordination, control and implementation of the ISSOW system.

 

  • Acts as system expert, coaches ISSOW best practice
  • Verify WCC’s
  • Issue WCC’s
  • Assure the correct level of Risk Assessment has been carried out
  • Ensure a work site visit has been carried out during the work planning phase
  • Co-ordinate verification and approval of Isolation design, implementation and removal
  • Approve when an isolation may be moved under Sanction to Test through discussion with relevant discipline supervisor
  • Confirm, through discussion with the PA that they fully understand the task and the other team members have been fully briefed via the TBT
  • Resolve any issues raised by PA’s as a result of AA discussion or TBT

  • Participate in Level 2 Risk Assessments when appropriate

  • Assure WCC documentation is appropriate and there is no duplication of Hazards and controls in WCC

  • Confirm all required pre-requisites are in place prior to work commencing, and confirm removed on work completion

  • Identify any conflicts during the work planning phase and prior to work commencing

  • Visit the worksite before, during and on completion of the work to ensure the work is properly controlled and reinforce high standards of housekeeping at all times

  • Co-ordinate isolations, isolation integrity checks and gas tests

  • Assess criticality of ad-hoc requests for WCC’s

  • WCC Closure and Archiving

  • Co-ordinate ISSOW audits and provide relevant feedback to Site Manager

  • Co-ordination and control of keys and lock out boxes

  • Co-ordinate SCMV (LO/LC) register

  • Ensure effective handovers are complete

  • Participate in Emergency response team as required

 

Education, Experience, Technical Qualifications:

 

  • SMTD or working towards
  • Advanced Safety Auditing
  • Level 3 VQ - Production
  • Talisman ISSOW Level 2

 

  • Supervisory experience in offshore Oil and Gas Operations
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of Oil and Gas Safe Systems of Work

  • Demonstrates visible site leadership and actively participates in ASA interventions
  • Ability to influence at all levels within an operational environment
  • Able to coach others to achieve high standards of performance
