Multimedia Designer / Videographer

JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for working closely with other departments to support communication initiatives throughout the company by providing video production and editing as well as some multimedia design and production support. Provide strategic guidance in video strategy and communication for Gulf Power keeping with Southern Company branding standards. Work well with leadership and copywriters to develop highly effective graphic materials.


JOB REQUIREMENTS: (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills)

Bachelor’s degree in video production, graphic design, graphic communications or related field or 5+ years working on a production oriented creative team desired.
Must be able to work effectively with multiple clients across departmental lines
Must possess the ability to identify the scope of a project and to develop initial ideas as to the purpose of the materials to be developed.
Must be able to work effectively under tight deadline pressure including planning, controlling and directing many projects at one time and establishing priorities.
Thorough knowledge of video production including concept creation, production, editing and web posting, digital design and presentation technology.
Hands-on knowledge of MAC and PC platforms and operating systems.
Adobe Creative and Cloud Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Premiere Pro, after Effects, Audition9 or other audio editing software.
Videography and photography skills are necessary.


MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Meet the video production needs of a broad array of clients throughout the company.
Handle multiple projects and work effectively with clients as well as contractors in order to consistently meet deadlines with quality work.
Serve as the communication liaison for the company planning teams assisting representatives with video and other multimedia design expertise.
Work with departments to make sure they have the communication tools they need including promotional materials, collaterals and other items on an ongoing and timely manner.
Continually update skill sets in order to provide technical expertise in the creation and production of customer requests for video, video editing, graphic illustration and design, artwork, etc. including complicated desktop publishing operations.
Stay abreast of the rapidly changing technologies in order to enhance work products and output.
Protect Southern Company’s corporate identity ensuring compliance and confidentiality.

Must currently live in Pensacola FL area or be willing to relocate. Relocation assistance available.
