The Opportunity

The Fleet Safety/Health and Safety Representative (Fort McMurray) shall provide comprehensive health and safety support to operating units. The duties and responsibilities will include safety audits and inspections, record-keeping, industrial hygiene monitoring and assessments, equipment inspections, safety performance tracking and reporting, incident and accident investigation and tracking among other responsibilities.

Key qualifications include:

• 3-5 years experience in a Health and Safety role; Industrial, Oilfield and Fleet Safety knowledge
• Completion of post secondary education in health and safety and/or the equivalent in education and work related experience
• NCSO or CRSP designation
• Valid Driver's license
• Knowledge of AB/BC legislation and Claims management processes and experience
• Knowledge of transportation - legislation and DOT regulations
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Willingness and ability to travel - travel availability approximately 25-40%, and must be available to travel on short notice for emergencies and for turnarounds outside the region if required.
• Ability to work and wear appropriate PPE in areas where fall protection and confined spaces are required (training and PPE provided)
