Responsibilities*

7B is a 32 bed Adult Medicine Telemetry unit. Nurses will utilize the nursing process to provide primary care to the complex medicine patient population who may require telemetry monitoring. Nurses complete a 6-10 week orientation including classes on basic arrhythmias and electrophysiology. 7B offers 8, 12 and 8/12 combination shift rotations. Our RN staff and non-licensed technical staff provide highly skilled nursing care to our patients in an atmosphere that values individual diversity and uniqueness.

Required Qualifications*

Current licensure to practice nursing in the state of Michigan.
Demonstrated positive, effective professional communication skills as documented on recent performance evaluations.
Demonstrated time management and problem solving skills

Condition of hire for Graduate Nurses: Selected GN must have successfully passed N-CLEX and be licensed as a RN in the state of Michigan.

Desired Qualifications*

Previous telemetry experience
Previous patient care experience or relevant skills.
No lifting restrictions.
Familiarity with UMHS policies and procedures.

Salary & Nursing Framework Level:
This UMPNC RN posting is posted as Nursing Framework LEVEL C.
Actual Nursing Framework LEVEL and salary will be determined at time of hire.
Nursing Framework levels range from Level A to Level E.


Applicants who have left the UMPNC bargaining unit must include on their resume dates of past employment including months and years of service along with effort. Positions less than 20 hours/week may be combined.

Work Schedule

36 hour Day/Night rotation and every other weekend
8 & 12 hour shifts
