Registered Nurse (Cardiovascular Center- Operating Room)

Responsibilities*

Scrub and circulate in the Cardiovascular Center operating rooms assigned under the clinical supervision of a Nurse Manager. To rotate shift and accept call as assigned by Nurse Manager. To assist in the teaching activities of the OR.

Required Qualifications*

- Current licensure to practice nursing in the state of Michigan.
- At least three years current OR experience, with ability to circulate complex surgical cases.
- Demonstrated ability to handle stress, conflict and resolution.
- Ability to work with non-responsive patient population.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills with ability to work as a team member.
- Highly motivated and organized.
- Minimum 2 year commitment to position.
- Call commitment with a 30 minute response rate.

Desired Qualifications*

- Current (within 3 years) ability to circulate and scrub cardiac, general thoracic and vascular services.
- CNOR certification.

Salary & Nursing Framework Level:
This UMPNC RN posting is posted as Nursing Framework LEVEL C.
Actual Nursing Framework LEVEL and salary will be determined at time of hire.
Nursing Framework levels range from Level A to Level E.

Work Schedule

Shift/Days: 8 hour Day/Evening rotation, with midnight,weekend and holiday on-call/ shift obligations.
