Responsibilities: The candidate will be responsible for the management and continued growth of Tetra Tech’s mine water management practice. This will include direct involvement with Tetra Tech’s Global Mining Practice, developing business opportunities for the group, providing technical guidance to staff, and financial planning and management. The candidate must have an excellent reputation and established relationships with mining industry personnel. Experience: • B.S. (M.S. preferred) in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering • Minimum of 15 years’ experience in projects related to mining, especially water management • Design and construction of active water treatment plants at mine sites to remove metals and other contaminants • Well versed in EPCM project delivery in the mining sector • Registered as a P.E. or P. Eng. • Established record of business development and client, project and staff management • Established record of good financial performance and cash management Job Requirements: • Client development and management • Management of multi-million dollar mine water management projects • Previous leadership role in $20M+ EPCM mining project • Guidance on the evaluation, selection and application of proven and innovative technologies for treatment of mine impacted and process waters at world-wide locations • Experience with ARD/AMD treatment • Presentation of technical papers and development and execution of short courses/workshops at conferences • Development and execution of annual business plans with targeted growth opportunities, staffing requirements, budgets, and tracking metrics • Oversight of senior staff • Good interpersonal skills
