Opportunity for candidate with strong programming skills to lead the Wilson Family YMCA team. The Program Director/Facility Coordinator is responsible for the hiring, supervision, and training of Member Service, Wellness, and Sports staff at the Wilson YMCA, as well as Housekeeping/Maintenance. In addition, every position in the Montgomery YMCA is responsible for upholding the Judeo-Christian principles that are central to our mission by modeling behaviors that exemplify the four pillars of character - caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Direct all operations in assigned responsibility areas for the accomplishment of the Facility and Association long and short term goals.
  • Hire, train, and supervise Member Service and Wellness Staff
  • Hire, train, and supervise Sports Staff
  • Plan, organize, and implement Youth Sports programs
  • Maintain adequate records to evaluate, control and measure the effectiveness of assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Assist the Vice President as needed to enhance the Member Experience
  • Budget development and management in assigned areas of responsibility
  • All other duties as assigned


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
May manage a subordinate supervisor or may directly supervise all employees in the Member Service, Sports and Wellness Departments.Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
