Grounds Crew

Under direct supervision of the Turf Manager, assists in the maintenance for the playing field and grounds at BBVA Compass Stadium, Dynamo practice field, Houston Amateur Sports Park as well as the grounds surrounding both complexes.

DUTIES

-Assist in the maintenance of practice fields and stadium field to include mowing, fertilizing and general turf maintenance of BBVA Compass Stadium and Houston Dynamo practice fields at the Houston Amateur Sports Park.
-Set up the playing field for all MLS games as well as other special events in the stadium including but not limited to concerts, and NCAA/UIL football games.
-Maintain the field equipment and supplies.
-Assists in the planting and care of shrubs, flowers, trees and turf.
-Uses hand tools and equipment or light powered hand tools.
-Work irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays, as needed.

-Ability to perform manual labor for extended periods, often under unfavorable weather conditions.
-Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.
-Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.
