Job Summary:

Rustic Pathways seeks qualified individuals in various global summer leadership positions during the summer. We are currently accepting applications for motivated, qualified individuals interested in working with us in The Fiji Islands, New Zealand, Costa Rica, Thailand, Australia,Tanzania,Ghana,Morocco,India, China, Peru, New Orleans, Laos, Burma,Vietnam. Position Responsibilities:

  • Program Leaders lead & supervise students through daily activities, guiding their growth and development and serving as positive role models.
  • Participate in staff training. Become familiar with and implement company policies, procedures, and philosophy
  • Help maintain a safe, healthy environment for the students by enforcing program rules,discipline by using preventative health care and risk management techniques
  • Ensure the timely, successful, and cost-effective completion of programs.
  • Provide financial management oversight and budget analysis
  • Prepare required reports.
  • Maintain the integrity of the overall program operation, as well as Rustic Pathways’ mission and goals.
  • Participate in all activities with the students. Encourage and facilitate student participation in all activities
  • Assist the coordination and execution of the program, including its travel, academic, social, and recreational elements.
  • Serve as a liaison to the local partner school(s) if applicable.
  • Conduct student observations and interviews, gather student work, and analyze student progress.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed financial records Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Must be at least 22 years old (by June 1, 2012)
  • Must be avalible for staff training in the beginning of June
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, development, social sciences, human rights, or other relevant field, or experience (preferred)
  • Proven team management and communication skills.
  • A working knowledge of personal computers and experience with Microsoft Office are required.
  • Leadership experience
  • Proven organizational abilities
  • Previous Experience working with youth
  • Previous international travel
  • High degree of administrative talent, strong communication skills, and a flexible and creative spirit.
  • An ability to maintain a positive outlook and to encourage a spirit of cooperation is vital. This person must be a leader and a motivator.

Language Skills:

  • Excellent listening, written, and verbal communication skills (Fluency in English is required.)
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish is required to working in Costa Rica,Peru,Panama Compensation/Benefits
  • Compensation is based on experience.
  • Flights, food and lodging are covered while running programs overseas.
  • Travel Insurance is provided while you are running programs overseas.
