Description of Duties:
- Oversees retail store consumer experience with a primary focus on executing sales, marketing and merchandising plans that align with NOA's brand strategy and ensuring Nintendo World staff delivers a positive customer experience.
- Collaborates with NOA sales and marketing teams to effectively promote Nintendo World as a experiential retail destination
- Ensures all products and displays are merchandised effectively to maximize sales and profitability
- Manages product procurement and merchandising
- Collaborates with licensee and merchandise suppliers
- Plans in-store promotion, events and experiences
- Supports and coordinates marketing initiatives
- Partners with external organizations to drive awareness and traffic to Nintendo World
- Prepares proposals for activities and purchases
- Analyzes and communicates customer trends and opportunities
- Monitors and evaluates performance of assigned staff
- Provides feedback, guidance, training and task direction
- Provides consistent leadership, positive attitude
- Influences behavior and manages the values and attitudes of staff
- Clear understanding of company vision and store objectives as to communicate them effectively to staff
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong time management and organizational skills, ability to multi-task
- Interacts with subordinates, peers and/or managers in other work groups/teams/vendors
- Teaches, trains and interprets data and resolves semi-routine issues
- Assists in setting and leads execution of short-term objectives for assigned work groups/team
Summary of Requirements:
- Five or more years of related experience, including at least three years managing others
- Strong leadership and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to forecast and analyze market information and data
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Enthusiasm towards and willingness to learn about gaming
- Ability to coordinate, develop and execute brand programs (promotions, events, retail marketing) designed to build awareness and elevate the Nintendo brand
- Previous buying experience and/or merchandising experience
- MS Office proficiency (Excel & Word required; PowerPoint and Access preferred)
- Ability to work open, flexible schedules (including weekend, early mornings and occasional overnights)
Education:
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing, a related field or equivalent
