Responsibilities*
The Nurse Recruiter position will be responsible for nurse recruitment and retention activities for the University of Michigan Health System. The expectations of the person in this position include: Independently plan, implement and develop recruitment strategies and sourcing techniques to identify talented RN and LPN candidates with the greatest potential for success at UMHS. Act as a consultant and partner to nursing hiring managers providing guidance consistent with UMHS recruitment/human resource policies and procedure and state and federal employment law. Travel both locally and nationally to conventions, career days, job fairs and other recruitment related activities Track contacts, prospective candidates Assist with obtaining and tracking metrics around recruitment and retention activities Interface with advertising and other agencies in order to coordinate marketing materials, brochures and give aways Participate and evaluate ongoing nurse retention efforts.
Required Qualifications*
Bachelor?s degree in health care or related field, a combination of education and experience with an equivalent level of knowledge will also be considered Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills Demonstrated successful project management experience Exceptional time management and organizational skills Proficient use of technology and internet Proficient in Excel, Word, and Microsoft office Ability to adapt to change and plan strategically Strong interest in working with a high functioning team Initiative to invest in personal and professional growth Interest in helping others Ability to develop strong working relationships with clinical managers and directors Vision and energy to proactively address issues related to nurse recruitment and retention Strong customer service skills
Note: Occasional travel is required both locally and nationally

Desired Qualifications*
Previous healthcare experience preferred. Experience working with an online Applicant Tracking System RN experience preferred Experience with employee life-cycle related to recruiting, hiring, and employee relations desired.
