Description:

Responsible for the care and safety of children in the child entertainment center, including check-in, dispense food and beverage service.

Duties:

1.Greet all guests promptly, pleasantly and in a manner that promotes fun and safety.

2.Check children in/out of child entertainment area as outlined by procedures.

3.Accurately handle all cash transactions, when accepting child care payment or providing arcade change.

4.Prepare and provide food/beverages orders to children based on internal procedures, ensuring food safety and health code compliance.

5.Monitors child activity and interacts appropriately with children, ensuring a fun, safe environment.

6.Monitors the environment of the entertainment and arcade areas, be aware of children/patrons conduct to promote a safe guest experience at all times.

7.Maintain control of children and guests, contacting supervisor for assistance for difficult or unruly patrons.

8.Clean and sanitize all surfaces within the child entertainment and arcade areas.

9.Check children for head lice and other health hazards. Handle appropriately.

10.Stock food and supply items as needed to ensure adequate stocking levels.

11.Provide light janitorial duties as needed, including carpet sweeping, garbage disposal, dusting and keeping restroom and rest areas sanitized, neat and stocked.

12.Monitor arcade equipment use, providing minor repairs and reporting maintenance problems to supervisor.

13.Handle guest inquiries and/or concerns efficiently and cordially, referring difficult situations to supervisor.

14.Administer first aid as needed, contacting security for emergency services.

15.Comply with regulator laws, employee handbook, department policy and procedures, safety codes, etc.

16.Promote teamwork through punctual, responsible attendance and courteous respectful behavior.

17.Promotes a clean, safe and healthy work environment for employees and guests. Promptly reports all concerns to Supervisor.

18.Ensure that operation of equipment, tools and materials are handled in a safe manner.

19.Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1.Experience working with children, preferably in a day care or pre-school setting.

2.High School Diploma or GED

3.Customer service experience.

4.Computer literate. POS system experience preferred.

5.Requires a strong rapport and comfort level in working with children.

6.Possess a valid first aid/CPR/food handlers certification or obtain within 30 days of employment.

7.Physically able to: stand/sit/move about for long periods, light lifting, bending, stretching and able to periodically climb in/out of tubes.

8.Effective communication skills - verbally able to provide instruction, respond to questions, and have exceptional interpersonal skills and abilities.

9.Flexible schedule - able to work various shifts, weekends and holidays.

10.Exhibits a professional demeanor through appearance and by maintaining a positive attitude toward all employees and guests.

11.Must be able to pass a crimminal background check and must be 18 years of age.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1.Bi-lingual in English/Spanish
