Responsible for direct supervision of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable as well as Cash Room. Responsible for month end financial closing and related account reconciliations. Responsible for fixed asset recording and calculation of depreciation. Assist with budget process and monthly departmental result analysis.
Essential Duties:
- Responsible for providing quality guest service to both internal and external guest.
- Responsible for direct management of staff and allocation of work in all accounting areas, including coordinating staff development and training/cross-training as well as staff review and performance evaluation.
- Responsible for preparation and review of various journal entries, maintaining proper cut-off and completion of month-end check list related to month/year end close.
- Responsible for maintaining fixed asset documentation and related depreciation.
- Responsible for preparing and/or reviewing monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Jointly responsible for review of accounts payable disbursements.
- Responsible for review and maintenance of internal controls within the department.
- Assist in review of monthly corporate and departmental results, performing budget to actual comparisons and communicating with departments related to fluctuation analysis.
- Assist in preparation of client prepared schedules for annual audit engagement.
- Assist in development and monitoring of corporate policies related to petty cash, employee expense reimbursements, travel advances, corporate credit cards, etc.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in supervision of general accounting or other accounting area such as accounts payable or accounts receivable or equivalent.
- Degree in Accounting, knowledge of tax-exempt guidelines, GAAP reporting, with competency in a variety of business software packages.
- Strong accounting and communication skills.
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug test.
