ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversees Life Support operation, the care, maintenance, and well being of exotic life forms and to promote on-going educational programs. Ensures the cleanliness and upkeep of the archway and 2 aquatic tanks that hold 6500 gallons. Ensures accurate animal records and operation ordering. Disease prevention and treatment of fish. Directs activities concerned with instructional, acquisition, exhibitory, safekeeping, research, and public service objectives. Educational tours, animal husbandry, and diving the aquariums. Provides monthly reports and dive logs. REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must have or be able to obtain CPR and First Aid certification. SCUBA certification. Experience using standard laboratory methods and procedures. Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Ability to lift up to 601bs. Possess six months related experience with a seasoned curator or one to three years related background in saltwater aquatics.
