We have a vacancy in our Operations Department for an Operations Supervisor.

Main areas of responsibilities are:
•    While performing and dealing with day to day operations in efficient and timely manner, minimising the operational costs and controlling vessels' performance to ensure the overall performance of the voyages are in line with owner's expectations.
•    Closely monitoring the performance of each vessel in the respective fleet; advising Masters accordingly, Giving Masters detailed voyage instructions, advising Masters of Charter Party Terms and any special requirements.
•    Checking requirements for the intended voyage in respect of bunkers and making arrangements in cost effective manner.
•    Checking freight/hire invoices upon completion of loading or upon delivery to time charterers.
•    Negotiating Agency fees and appointing agents as necessary.
•    Keeping all concerned aware of vessels itinerary and updating appropriate Danaos application.
•    Communicating with charterers as well as responding, on behalf of Principals, to charterers' complaints (after discussion with the Director of Operations).
•    Checking and approving the cargo documentation such as bills of lading and statements of facts, etc, when appropriate.

Candidates should ideally possess the following qualifications, experience and attributes:
•    Educated to A-level standard.
•    Sea-going officer or previous experience in Ship Management office.
•    Fluent in written and spoken English, numerate, and knowledge of shipping terms.
•    Dedicated.
•    Ability to prioritise and solve problems with logical thought process.
•    Good communication skills with accuracy in expression.
•    Computer Literate.
•    Ability to work well under pressure.
