About the role
We are looking for a Advisor Health & Safety to to join the Pannawonica team and be responsible for the delivery of H&S services across Robe Valley.
This role is a great opportunity to work in a close knit team of Advisors, and support the implementation of the RTIO H&S Management System and effective delivery of the Iron Ore H&S Strategy. This role provides an opportunity for a candidate who is passionate about health and safety to join a highly skilled team in delivering to a diverse stakeholder group. Working an 8 days on, 6 off roster and reporting to the Health and Safety Superintendent, you will be:

  • Ensuring legislative requirements are being met;
  • Driving the H&S plan and support operational leaders in their H&S improvement;
  • Influencing the site to ensure the delivery and application of fundamental H&S processes;
  • Assisting leaders to develop their safety leadership skills and confidently demonstrate visible leadership;
  • Assisting in the audit process, through coaching leaders and team members on the H&S standards and elements of HSEQ;
  • Providing immediate onsite support for incident investigations and risk assessments including coaching and facilitating.
About you
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
  • A Current C Class Manual Drivers Licence
  • A passion for, and sound knowledge of health and safety
  • Interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Previous experience working in an operational health and safety
  • Computer skills including experience using prospect reporting tools and Microsoft office suite
It will also be beneficial if you have:

  • Health and Safety qualification
Where you will be working
Located 60km west of Pannawonica, Mesa A was opened in 2010 as part of the westwards progression of mining in the Robe Valley. This open pit iron ore operation with site-based processing facilities offers a fly in fly out roster.
