LPN For Christian Residential Program

This job is unlike any other nursing job out there. It is a ministry where you get to watch addicted adolescent boys change before your eyes. Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch seeks a Full time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work day shift from 7am-3pm. 

  • Provides health assessments.
  • Take vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and weight as needed for paperwork and general health purposes 
  • Coordinate and maintain relationships between program and medical facilities we use in the community. 
  • Schedule medical appointments for students
  • Provides emergency care for clients and personnel in case of injury or sudden illness.
  • Collaborates with other program personnel including administrators, support staff, and teachers, toward the promotion of child health and its optimal interaction with the program.
  • Develops and implements a health plan, and medication policy and procedure.
  • Establishes, maintains, updates, evaluates, and interprets cumulative health data to accommodate individual needs of students.
  • Plans and implements program health management protocols for the child with chronic health problems, including the administration of medication.
  • Develops procedures and provides for crisis intervention for acute illness and injury.
  • Provides information on health and acts as a resource person in promoting health careers.
  • Engages in research and evaluation of school health services to act as a change agent for school health programs and school nursing practices.
  • Assists in the formation of health policies, goals and objectives for the school.
  • Prepares first aid kits for each campus.
  • Organizes, instructs, and supervises school health volunteers or assistants.
  • Reports regularly to the Director of Clinical/Social services
  • Serves as a resource person to school personnel. Participates selectively in classroom instruction under the supervision of the teacher.

Other Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills a must
  • Ability to work in partnership with others and coordinate a working team in the accomplishment of a project.
