Sales System Administrator

Okemo Mountain Resort, a Best Places to Work in Vermont four years in a row, has an opening for a dynamic individual to join our Information Technology team as a Sales System Administrator. Responsibilities include maintenance and enhancement of applications, interfaces and hardware for revenue systems including Accesso Siriusware, Inntopia, SMS Springer Miller, Proshop Keeper, Ving Card, and Axess RFID Gates. Work closely with all user levels from front-end users, IT, to management and vendors to troubleshoot and mitigate system and end point problems, install system upgrades and enhancements, and ensure proper system programming and setup. Provide appropriate user training. Support revenue system servers. Design, evaluate and install systems to support the company’s business operations. Ensure security and recoverability of the infrastructure and systems.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of POS systems from both a back end support and front-end user perspective with an organized approach towards system implementation and design. Excellent service, communication, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills required. Ability to multi-task and understand and evaluate complex, multi-dimensional information required. Must be able to travel to all sites on the mountain, operate computer for long periods of time, and perform medium lifting. This is a fast paced position in a resort environment, and requires working a flexible schedule. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, plus 2-4 years previous experience with Sales application configuration and operational training required.  Experience in technical writing and SQL a plus.
