Collaboration is the foundation of our workforce, and we're looking for smart individuals who are self-motivated and passionate to join us. Be a part of the engine that creates the soundtrack to life. Discover your future at Pandora.

Have you ever wondered how advertisers reach an audience on Pandora? Do you suspect most companies could just work smarter to become more profitable? Do the obvious inefficiencies in everyday life drive you bananas? Pandora's Business Process Management team could be right for you.

Pandora is looking for a Business Process Management Intern to play a critical role in discovering, documenting, measuring, and communicating monetization processes and roles. The right candidate will be a cross-functional independent contributor on the Business Process Management team, and will develop skills in executive communication, design content and strategy, and build expertise in Pandora's quote-to-cash cycle.

We believe great process is critical to Pandora's continued success in executing revenue and strategic goals, but equally important in shaping a positive experience of the people who live in the process everyday.

The ideal candidate will have a passion to make things better for companies and people alike, and may have some knowledge of process engineering (six sigma or lean methodologies). They will have ideas about how to make dense technical documentation accessible to all, a humanistic approach to communication, and strong visual and verbal skills. Bonus, but not required, is some level of front end development skills. Also must have a passion for music!

What's in it for you:
  • Build out a centralized repository of process documentation for Pandora's Monetization process (Ad Operations Quote-to-Cash cycle)
  • Build relationships with Product Management, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Client Services, Sales, Finance, Pricing & Yield Management, Training, and/or Ad Product Marketing to get direction on what they need from our deliverables
  • Build a series of case studies or testimonials showing the success of previous business process improvement initiatives
  • Engage with and obtain buy-in on program strategy from Manager/Director level leaders of cross functional teams
  • Work within the Business Process Management team to collect and collate existing process documentation
  • Drive, manage and communicate status on programs from conception through launch, and provide post-launch analysis
  • Build competency and thorough understanding of Pandora advertising products, systems, and internal tools
  • Build your skills and refine your point of view in high visibility team
  • Spend the summer at Pandora in Oakland, which we think is pretty fun
  • Come away with the proof that your work has directly contributed to Pandora's success as a business and as an employer

To land this gig, you will need:
  • Currently working towards BS or BA degree
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills with internal & external audiences; polished and professional demeanor
  • Ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders, lead cross-functional teams, and influence decision-making
  • Experience partnering with diverse teams on projects and owning execution of particular chunks
  • Capacity to manage and prioritize multiple projects concurrently
  • Excellent problem solving, technical, and communication skills
  • Passion for user experience and process
  • Examples of design or presentation work product
  • Proficiency with common productivity tools and willingness to learn Pandora's internal systems and tools
