Pandora is looking for an Associate Project Manager on the Technical Program Management team to play a critical role in driving and managing concurrent projects related the successful beta testing, roll out, communication, and commercialization of advertising products and platforms updates. This is a cross-functional independent contributor role that will report into Sales Technical Operations and combines aspects of project management, product development, technology program management and training.

The ideal candidate will have interest in managing large-scale business operations and in being a liaison with senior cross-functional players across business teams including Pricing & Yield Management, Product, Engineering, Ad Technology, and Product Marketing. You will learn how to build proactive communication programs and possess an ability to distill complicated issues into meaningful, actionable components. You should be technically proficient and have an interest in developing a knowledge of digital advertising systems & platforms. You should have an eye for efficiency, scale, and automation, and always question how we can make things better, faster, easier. You should be able to work autonomously but thrive on collaboration. You should enjoy working in an extremely fast-paced and rapidly changing environment. Excellent relationship-building skills, communication capabilities, experience with driving successful projects are crucial. And, of course, you should love music.

What's in it for you:
  • Partner with Product Management, Pricing & Yield Management, Training, Legal, and/or Ad Product Marketing to get direction on scope of program and deliverable requirements
  • Coordinate realistic project estimates, plans, and/or metrics; organize & maintain all program related documentation
  • Develop and execute testing frameworks for new features related to ad technology systems & components
  • Engage with and obtain buy-in on program strategy from Manager/Director level leaders of cross functional teams
  • Work and communicate effectively with Sales, Operations, Engineering, Product Management to build consensus and meet projected deadlines
  • Drive, manage and communicate status on programs from conception through launch, and provide post-launch analysis
  • Manage proactive and reactive communications to various internal departments
  • Assist internal Client Services and Sales Operations teams with developing and communicating best practices around new ad products & technology platforms and related initiatives
  • Partner with internal Sales Marketing and communication teams to develop product marketing and training materials as needed
  • Build competency and thorough understanding of Pandora advertising products, systems, and internal tools

To land this gig, you will need:
  • Currently working towards BS or BA degree, with expected graduation 2017 or 2018.
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills with internal & external audiences; polished and professional demeanor
  • Ability to build relationships with Sr. Manager-level stakeholders, to lead cross-functional teams and to influence decision making
  • Experience partnering with diverse teams on projects and owning execution of particular chunks
  • Capacity to manage and prioritize multiple projects concurrently; adept at keeping detailed notes, project plans, and documentation for each program component
  • Experience with - or willingness to learn about! - industry standard web and mobile advertising operations vendors and concepts
  • Excellent problem solving, technical, and communication skills
  • Eagerness to learn, a good attitude, ability to work autonomously
  • Proficiency with common productivity tools and willingness to learn internal Pandora systems and tools
