Purpose of Position

The Field Sales Development Manager is responsible for managing the recruitment, training, coaching and development of Sales Distributors of the company’s products within a defined geographic area.  This includes, ensuring consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning, deployment and management of distributors.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for recruiting and training team of distributors to ensure market-level strategic and business objectives are met. Specific focus on leadership development throughout the Distributor base.
  • Assess geographical areas for development and establish specific sales plan to penetrate markets including events such as opportunity meetings, ongoing sales training, nutritional and beauty line support etc.  Assist in identifying key future leaders
  • Establish, maintain and expand distributor base through regular monitoring of distributor performance through daily coaching and motivation to help them sales and recruiting targets
  • Prioritize coaching and performance management efforts to have the greatest overall impact on business results
  • Coordinate weekly and monthly leadership calls and webinars to ensure there is regular ongoing connection between Distributor base and corporate team. Provide regular reporting on “pulse” of the sales force to GM
  • Identify deficiencies in skills among distributors, and work to improve individuals’ capabilities through coaching, development, and training
  • Provide high standards of ongoing training for Distributors so that they possess sufficient knowledge to present information on the company’s business opportunity and products in an accurate and balanced manner
  • Build and maintain strong report with existing and potential distributors and identify new distributor integrations
  • Analyze sales performance indicators regularly to identify gaps and areas of opportunity. Specific measurements of productivity, retention, consistency
  • Assist in the forecasting of sales force base including leadership development
  • Actively participate in all company events as needed
  • Collaborates with General Manager to develop sales strategies to improve market share in all product lines.
  • Manage daily Whatsapp communication with sales force.
  • Educate sales team by establishing programs/seminars in the areas of recruitment and growth
  • Identify objectives, strategies and action plans to improve short- and long-term sales and profit
  • Expand professional knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading relevant publications; maintaining personal networks
  • Conduct online training presentations as needed
  • Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with existing, new and prospective Distributors to generate new business opportunities
  • Develops clear and effective written proposals, presentations and quotations for prospective Distributors
  • Provide reports on distributor needs, problems, interests
  • Achieves strategic teams objectives defined by company management

Qualifications:

  • Strong Ability to build and foster relationships
  • Advanced business development skills
  • History of meeting and achieving sales goals and objectives
  • Ability to develop new business through direct sales
  • Active participant on social media sites; LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook, Instagram, etc.
  • Demonstrate persistence, tenacity, ability to overcome obstacles, and strive to improve skills and achieve goals
  • Must have a competitive nature
  • Ability to quickly develop rapport and trust with a prospective clients
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint, WebEx  (or another equivalent tool)
  • Confidence communicating with decision makers at different levels and different departments within an organization
  • Familiar with working in an incentive/goal driven environment
  • Ability to collaborate across sales channels
  • Able to demonstrate proven lead generation experience and success
  • Strong organizational, written and verbal communication, as well as time management skills
  • Self-discipline and tenacity
  • Must be able to travel 70% of time

Required Skills:

  • 5 + years previous direct sales management experience with a proven track record of lead generation and sales recruitment
  • 3 + years of experience working for nutritional and/or beauty company desired

Education:

  • Bachelors Degree in Sales or Marketing or equivalent work experience
