Royal Service Supervisor

Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Front Office Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Providing warm, sincere, and engaging service
  • Ensuring all guest inquiries, messages and faxes are tracked, acknowledged and completed in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ensuring all necessary crisis and emergency procedures are in place to meet hotel standards and that all Royal Service agents are comfortable with them
  • Promoting inter-departmental communication to ensure the best possible guest experience
  • Scheduling all Royal Service employees to ensure correct coverage and support of this 24/7 department within the operational budget.
  • Ensuring all key control procedures are followed
  • Training, developing and recognizing all Royal Service Agents, and ensuring a strong cohesive team.
  • Ensuring performance review of Royal Service Agents are completed in a timely manner
  • Ensuring that Royal Service reserves and confirms guest requests using Restaurant Manager & Fore.
  • Completing administrative tasks such as but not exclusive to payroll, update phone
  • lists, stores request, grand an toy orders, vouchers, etc.
  • Assisting in ensuring all phones on property are to the correct extensions and in good working order.
  • Adhering to the hotel"s vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel and guest vehicles
  • All other duties assigned

Qualifications:
  • 1 to 2 years of Hotel Front Desk experience required
  • Previous supervisory experience is an asset
  • Knowledge of Property Manager, Royal Service Manager and Microsoft Applications
  • Interaction Management and Train the Trainer an asset

  • Current First Aid certification an asset

  • Must be an enthusiastic and positive team member who is self motivated and has strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be able to build and maintain positive working relationships with all Colleagues, Leaders and external contacts
  • Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
  • Frequent standing, walking and sitting throughout shift
  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
