Description
This integral individual personally greets and welcomes our guests as they begin their memorable stay with us. Our guest service agents register clients into the computer system, verify reservation requests, address, and credit information and ensure that the foundation is created for personal, instinctive and renewing experiences at The Westin Ottawa.
As part of our Starwood Preferred Guest Program, agents enroll new members and provide recognition and benefits to all present members. Upon departure, our agents verify payment for guests’ accounts and empower themselves to ensure all clients had a very pleasurable stay. They will and act immediately to address any questions or concerns from our guests and let them know we look forward to having them stay with us again.
Requirements
▪ Minimum of two years’ experience in a customer service environment. ▪ Previous experience as a Front Desk Agent strongly preferred. ▪ Knowledge of Galaxy and Lightspeed preferred. ▪ Must have excellent knowledge of the City of Ottawa and surrounding tourism sites. ▪ Diploma or certificate in Hotel & Restaurant Management or the equivalent is strongly preferred. ▪ Must be able to work evening shifts and overnight shifts which will include weekends and holidays. ▪ Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. ▪ Bilingual in both official languages (French and English) is required. ▪ Must possess excellent computer skills and an ability to work under pressure at times. ▪ Must possess excellent time management and multitasking skills. ▪ Must possess excellent customer service skills: friendly, welcoming and professional at all times. ▪ Must be detail-oriented. ▪ Must be a team player. ▪ Energetic and enthusiastic. ▪ Must be able to create personal connections with both our internal and external guests
