Position Description:
The associate veterinarian is responsible for handling medical and surgical care for patients. He or she will work with assigned technicians and assistants to examine, diagnose, prognose, and treat appropriately. Job Duties and Responsibilities Obtain and maintain Massachusetts veterinary medical license, obtain and document continuing education credits in an amount sufficient to maintain license in good standing. Practice high quality medical, surgical, and dental care for patients. Must have excellent client communication skills. Be available for required after hour patient care and emergency care.

Produce organized, legible, and properly formatted medical records in full compliance with Massachusetts Veterinary Medical board Qualifications: Knowledge, Abilities Knowledge: Current knowledge of best practices in small animal medicine and surgery Abilities: Physical strength to manipulate patients for medical, surgical, imaging, and dental procedures. Qualifications: Education/ Experience Must have scores on national and Massachusetts Veterinary Medical Board exams to qualify for license. Graduate of accredited school or pass appropriate test (PACE) to qualify for Massachusetts license. Must qualify for DEA license. Possibility of an internship in theriogenology. Managing DVM is board-certified in theriogenology (reproduction.) Experience with mini-pets, birds & other exotics a plus. Equal Employment Opportunity
