Position Description:
Seasonal part-time wildlife presenter wanted to give presentations to mostly children utilizing rescued and zoo-born exotic/wild animals as teaching aids, and to provide animal care. This is an exciting opportunity to work with exotic animals and children. There is a possibility that this could lead to a permanent and/or full-time position.

At this time we are looking for an energetic person to work part-time giving wildlife presentations for school assemblies, classroom presentations, birthday parties, and animal care. Training and lesson plans are provided. We are looking for someone who has both weekday and weekend availability and a flexible schedule, as hours can vary weekly.

Requirements: We are looking for enthusiastic, friendly, and clean-cut looking applicants. Employee is to be neatly groomed without excessive jewelry or visible tattoos and body piercing. Employee is sometimes required to transport animals with his/her own vehicle. Employee must have reliable transportation, with air-conditioning. Fuel reimbursement is given. We have 5 company vans to use as well. A valid driver's license, clean driving record and insurance is required. Applicants must be at least 21, have a bachelor's degree in biology or animal science and exotic animal experience at a zoo or similar wildlife facility. Experience working with children is preferred. Moderate to heavy lifting may be required for certain projects and for caring for the animals.

Program description: The Wildlife Learning Center is a rescue and life science education program founded to give youth the experience of learning about nature in an interactive, visual manner. The utilization of over 50 species of animals provides numerous examples for demonstrating a wide variety of biological concepts. The Wildlife Learning Center occasionally provides animals for "edu-tainment", film industry, and private events on the weekends.
