Mystic Aquarium & Institute for Exploration's Marketing and Media Relations Department seeks a motivated intern for the fall of 2010. Ideal candidates are pursuing a course of study in marketing, communications, English and/or public relations, have strong oral and written communication skills, are creative and have the ability to interact professionally with the media, public and aquarium staff. The marketing and media relations intern will assist the department's staff in event planning, writing copy for marketing materials and our Web site, maintaining the aquarium's Web site and social media outlets, drafting press materials and helping in pitching stories to the media, organizing the aquarium's photo library, participating in strategic brainstorms and administrative tasks.

Schedule is flexible. Applicants must be available a minimum of eight hours per week.
