Position Description:
ExxonMobil offers an opportunity to have a career with the premier company in the petroleum industry. We offer an excellent work environment and potential for advancement. ExxonMobil is currently looking for an experienced facilities engineer to support its global activities.

Primary Responsibilities:

    * Oversee detailed engineering development, procurement, fabrication and construction contractor mechanical components including piping, static equipment and machinery
      o Provide expert input on construction design requirements and considerations including safety factors, reliability, maintainability, operability, constructability and commissioning operations
    * Review equipment, process and surface facility designs for compliance with company and industry technical specifications and safety requirements
    * Provide input on mechanical engineering studies; standard selection, clarification, and utilization; and analysis, inspection and testing programs for static equipment, piping and machinery
    * Ensure design compliance with the safety and quality requirements noted in the ExxonMobil project management system (EMCAPS)
    * Provide technical input for design, hazardous operations and constructability reviews.
    * Generate, or review technical documentation for a project including the project design basis, engineering quality and surveillance plans, and engineering reports and narratives to be used by design contractors and construction staff as well as commissioning, start up and operational personnel
    * Serve as a technical lead to coordinate global multi-disciplinary engineering teams to generate technical deliverables and resource plans for global projects
    * Participate in process flow, and piping and instrumentation diagrams and 3-D reviews.
    * Provide guidance to engineering contractors supporting the project. Ensuring and verifying contractor compliance with safety, environmental, schedule and cost requirements.
    * Participate in vendor site visits to supervise and evaluate the construction of components to ensure technical compliance with project specifications. Participate in progress verification and factory acceptance testing.
    * Provide formal mentoring to early career engineering staff
    * Communicate effectively with senior management and field operations staff located domestically and internationally both verbally and through written documents

Skills and Abilities:

    * Must possess a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and minimum of 5 years of applied experience in static equipment, piping and machinery design, and project management and reliability engineering specifically in oil and gas plants
    * Experience must include use and relevant practical application of industry codes and standards as well as computer applications for static equipment, piping and machinery design including:
      o Standards published by the API, and ASME and ISO
      o Piping stress analysis programs
    * Experience in the generation and review of static equipment, piping and machinery designs including 3-D models, plot plans, plan drawings, isometric drawings and other layout and fabrication drawings
    * Experience in factory acceptance testing
