Position Description:
SUMMER CAMP JOB FAIR Saturday February 21, 2009 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Langstaff Community Centre 155 Red Maple Road
If you are an energetic, enthusiastic and a hardworking student who enjoys being part of a team, and are committed to providing recreation and leisure opportunities to children 3 to 12, we would like to meet you. Ideally, you have experience working with children in an organized camp or program setting with strong leadership skills and well-developed communication and customer service skills.
Positions are available in a wide variety of camp settings, including:
CAMP DIRECTORS, CAMP SUPERVISORS, CAMP COUNSELLORS, SUMMER CAMP COURIER, INTEGRATION COUNSELLORS, SUMMER RECEPTIONIST
Information sessions (for these positions) will be held each hour on the hour from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with on-site interviews to follow. Please bring your resume and allow time for a personal interview.
You must be a minimum of 15 years of age with a CIT or LIT certificate or equivalent, a High Five Certificate, possess a current First Aid Certificate and provide a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Security Screening conducted by York Regional Police. A background in any one of the following areas is desirable: basketball, sports, dance, visual/fine arts, outdoor education, nature, science, ecology, archaeology or history. You must be available to work during the following dates: Directors: May 20 – September 4, 2009 Courier: June 15 - September 4, 2009 Supervisors: June 17 - September 4, 2009** Counsellors: June 29 - September 4, 2009** ** Dates vary according to location**
