Position Description:
As a leader in the organization, the SVP Advertising Sales is directly responsible for achieving revenue targets determined by management. With a proven performance history in selling national brands/platforms, the candidate is responsible for managing all related sales activities, including cultivating new revenue opportunities, growing existing business and leading our team of sellers. As a member of the senior management team, the SVP Advertising Sales is responsible for developing a nine-figure annual sales plan for the network and a corresponding budget that will meet the company's objectives. Candidate must execute and deliver on the agreed strategies and goals for sales. In addition, the SVP Advertising Sales will:
    - Develop advertising sales strategies to maximize revenues from advertising products, programs and services.
    - Work closely with senior Programming and Distribution teams to align advertiser goals with audience development strategy to maximize revenues.
    - Have existing relationships with national agencies and brands.
    - Develop short and long term sales plans and initiatives for generating advertising sales revenues.
    - Personally negotiate and close major sales opportunities. Continuously evaluate advertising pricing sales methods, deals and manage cost of sale.
    - Accountable for achieving short and long term advertising revenue goals and strategic objectives for the network.
    - Responsible for streamlining processes, technical systems and procedures associated with the sales process.
    - Drive and implement an integrated, goal-driven and results-oriented Sales, Marketing and Loyalty organization.
    - Work with senior management team to develop division-wide strategies to align all stakeholders (Sales, Programming, Distribution, Marketing, Research, Operations, Engineering) with the goal of driving revenue.
    - Serve as a key member of the senior management team.

Required Qualifications:

    - 10+ years as a sales executive and 5 years of senior national sales leadership experience.
    - Strong business, analytical and financial skills with a proven track record of success in integrating product, price, place and promotion mix into realistic and achievable product margins, translating into a profitable business.
    - Excellent communicator who works well with the entire senior management team as well as mentors and supports team members.
    - Exceptional sales and sales management skills.
