Position Description:
SunPower's Residential, Light Commercial (RLC) install photovoltaic systems through a fast growing national network of installer partners. Due to our rapid expansion, SunPower's RLC has identified the need of providing Dealers field on-support as a major addition to our service portfolio. The Field Operations Manager will manage all RLCC field activities ensuring that our customers receive the necessary field support while maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction and enhancing the overall en customer experience.

Responsibilities:

    • Design and manage all RLC Field Activities including: job site Inspections, on-site support, product launch related and other critical field activities.
    • Manage the execution of all processes necessary to run and report field activities to upper management of a large field force infrastructure across different geographical regions.
    • Manage and coordinate global field activities with the sales, logistics and training departments while providing world class customer experience to external and internal customers.
    • Manage business relationships with field service providers. This entails setting strategy about our relationship with 3rd party field inspectors as well as providing ongoing performance feedback to management about the 3rd party personnel performance.

Related Experience & Educational Requirements:

    Required:
      • Bachelor's degree in photovoltaics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, energy technologies, power control or related field.
      • 7+ years experience in building/managing field related activities.
      • Proven track of record in the use of CRM and ERP systems.
      • 3+ years experience working in an ISO9001, 9002 organization with some associated experience in institutionalizing customer support processes and systems.
      • Superior communication skills – both written and oral and good listening skills.
      • Demonstrated experience in the creation of customer and systems processes documentation.
      • Experience working with licensed contractors.
      • Strong customer focused attitude.
      • Spanish, German or Italian a plus.

    Preferred:

      • Masters degree (M.S. / M.Eng.)

Other:

    •Up to 25% domestic / international travel
