Position Description:

This position is located in the Office of Enforcement and Compliance Asssurance(OECA), Office of Criminial Enforcement, Forensics, and Training (OCEFT), Immediate Office (IO)located in Washington, DC. The Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance (OECA), working in partnership with EPA Regional Offices, State Governments, Tribal Governments and other Federal agencies, ensures compliance with the nation's environmental laws.

MAJOR DUTIES:

    -As a full performance level Program Specialist the incumbent retrieves, distributes, and/or publicizes training literature to managers and supervisors.

    -Prepares training reports and spreadsheets, compiles data and analyzes expenditures and trends.

    - Assists the Planning, Analysis and Communications Staff with developing presentations, newsletters, and other communication materials.

    - Tracks spending and training against training budget for all of OCEFT.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Applicants must possess one year of specialized experience comparable in difficulty and responsibility to the next lower grade level. Specialized experience is that which has demonstrated the ability to perform administrative duties.

Examples of specialized experience at the GS-9 level:

    -Managing an electronic calendar
    -Timekeeping
    -Travel
    -Government Purchase card

Examples of specialized experience at the GS-11 level:

    -Records Management
    -Tracking systems

EDUCATION:

Substitution of education for experience: GS-9 Master's or equivalent graduate degree OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.B. or J.D., if related. GS-11 Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.M., if related.

A combination of post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements for the grade level(s) specified in this vacancy announcement. The combination of education and experience must be sufficient to demonstrate that you possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the work for this position. Only education from an accredited college or university recognized by the Department of Education is acceptable to substitute education for experience.
